First Lady Joy Hill
Joy Hill is an anointed woman of God, whose passion is to lead people into God's presence and to see them delivered and set free.
Joy's radical and transparent approach to ministry has not only taken her from a place of breakdown to breakthrough in her own life, but she is also determined to help pull others out of their dark places, and to help them see that they too can live a life of liberty.
From TBN and the Daystar Television Network, to the Woman Thou Art Loosed and MegaFest conferences, to churches in countries abroad such as London, Ukraine, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia, Lady Joy has ministered the gospel of Jesus Christ ... both through music and the preached word.
Lady Joy has recorded two music projects. The latest CD ("Be Still") was created with a purpose – to save lives. She is partnering with both national and international organizations that help rescue women and children from the exploitation of human and sex trafficking.
While Joy is an anointed singer, songwriter, recording artist, speaker and philanthropist, her most fulfilling accomplishments has been her role as a wife and mother. She is the devoted wife of Reverend Dr. E. Christopher Hill Sr. (senior pastor of The Potter's House of Denver) and the proud mother of two sons, Christopher Jr. and Jonathon.
Dr. Tara Jenkins
Dr. Tara Jenkins is a native of Jackson, Tenn. After failing a 12th grade course that prevented Tara from participating in her high school graduation, her educational journey became one of resilience and determination. She is now a 1997 graduate of Clark-Atlanta University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. She is a 1999 graduate of Moody Bible Institute with a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies. Then, in December 2005, she became a graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Doctorate of Education in Leadership. Her dissertation topic was “The Identification of Essential Components for Equipping Pastors’ Wives for Ministry.”
Jenkins is a dedicated wife, mother and leader. Jenkins has been married for 15 years to Pastor Charles Jenkins, pastor of the historic Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago, which was founded by the legendary Dr. Clay Evans. As the First Lady of the 7,000-plus member congregation, Jenkins provides leadership to the Daughters of Royalty Women’s Ministry. She is the proud mother of three beautiful children, Princess Alexandria, Paris Victoria and Charles Jenkins III.
Because God has equipped Jenkins with diverse giftings, she serves others in a multiplicity of ways. Jenkins is the founder of Ministry Mates, an organization designed to minister to senior pastors’ wives. Through exciting monthly gatherings, pastors’ wives’ impact is strengthened as their influence is broadened.
Jenkins has also launched the Ministry Mates Institute for Online Learning, which has quickly established itself as the empowerment headquarters for pastors’ wives! Jenkins is the author of “Wisdom for Wives: 21 Things Every Pastor’s Spouse Should Know” and “Moments with the Master: 21 Meditations to Jumpstart Your Devotional Life.” In her spare time, she enjoys offering professional voiceover services. Her voice has been heard on radio spots for Wal-Mart, Toyota and many more. She lives by the statement, “Strive to be at the top, because the bottom is overcrowded!
Tasha Smith is multifaceted actress whose work brings style and intensity to the subjects she plays on the big and small screens. Smith can currently be seen in Tyler Perry’s television series “For Better or Worse.” Smith’s memorable portrayal of Angela in Perry’s box office hits, “Why Did I Get Married?” and its sequel, “Why Did I Get Married, Too?” sparked the creation of the spin-off series that focuses around her relationship with onscreen husband, Marcus.
Smith is also well-known for her extensive work on the small screen, most notably, her critically acclaimed portrayal of the drug-addicted Ronnie Boyce in HBO’s Emmy Award-winning mini-series, “The Corner.”
On and off the big and small screen, Tasha Smith seems to naturally command attention. She takes time to share her inspirational life story through motivational speaking, as well as mentoring emerging actors through the Tasha Smith Actors Workshop.
In her spare time, the Camden, N.J., native loves to workout at the gym, cook gourmet meals and entertain friends at her home. A newlywed, Smith resides in Los Angeles with her husband/manager Keith Douglas.
Pastor Brenda Gooch
Pastor Brenda Harris Gooch serves as the senior pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church East End in Newport News, Va., where she grew up as a young girl. She contributes her preparation for ministry to the teaching she received from FBCG, where she served for eight years under the leadership of Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr.
Bishop Arthur Tripp licensed Brenda to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in July 2002 and ordained her as an elder in February 2004. She faithfully served Tabernacle as the Christian education director and church administrator for seven years. When Bishop Arthur Tripp left in March 2009, Tabernacle selected her as their first female pastor and she was installed in August 2009.
Love for God and His people, teaching, integrity and visionary leadership best describe the ministry of Pastor Gooch. The membership has grown spiritually and numerically. Under Pastor Gooch’s leadership, Tabernacle relocated to a new facility after 50 years at their former location to accommodate the continual growth in membership. The church attracts members of the post-modern generation and over half of its members are youth and young adults who serve in more than 20 ministries.
Pastor Gooch has served other ministries by preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and helping to organize Christian education programs. She is a strong proponent of education and in June 2013 received her Doctorate in Ministry from Providence Bible College and Theological Seminary, Norfolk, Va. She holds academic degrees and certificates in management, business and public administration, biblical studies, master motivational gifts teacher and biblical entrepreneurship.
Brenda served for 30 years as a federal civil servant and retired in September 2001. Her distinguished federal career revealed continual progress as she moved through the ranks from a GS-1 trainee to retiring as a GS-15 senior diversity program administrator.
She is the mother of three adult male sons, a grandmother, has seven siblings and lives in Hampton, Va. Her life-long motto has been “If I can help somebody as I travel through this life, then my living will not be in vain.” Many have attested to personal growth and a greater relationship with Christ because of her teaching, preaching and mentoring.
Tyra Lane-Kingsland is no stranger to inspiring the hearts of women. From her role as a Women’s Ministry leader to spending over five years as a performance improvement coach and facilitator for a Top 10 Fortune 500 company, Tyra has provided encouragement to countless women. Her desire is to help women experience full, vibrant relationships with Christ by seeing His handiwork in their everyday lives.
Having been recognized as a “competent communicator” with Toastmasters International, Tyra is a sought-after speaker. With a passion for writing and teaching, Tyra wrote and facilitates an eight-week course on “Raising Godly Children.” She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Howard University.
Tyra is an attentive wife and mother to five children ages 9 and under. A resident of a metropolitan Washington, D.C., suburb, Tyra enjoys spending time reading, writing, scrapbooking and admiring the natural beauty surrounding her home. With a penchant for healthy eating, Tyra is always on the lookout for new and exciting recipes and coaches others on establishing a nourishing kitchen.
Having endured a tumultuous childhood but walking in victory today, Tyra knows first-hand that God trades beauty for ashes, joy for pain and a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness. Knowing that God causes all things to work together for good, Tyra is eager to ignite an awareness of God’s presence in everyday circumstances.
Pastor Janeen McBath
Pastor Janeen McBath is a powerful and gifted teacher of God’s Word and is proficient in leadership development in both sacred and secular settings.
She serves as the co-pastor of Calvary Revival Church (CRC) and as a member of the church’s Governing Council. She was ordained into Christian ministry under Bishop Richard Hilton of Calvary Church in Johnson City, Tenn., and served faithfully as an elder in the church alongside her husband, Bishop B. Courtney McBath, until they were sent to Norfolk, Va., in 1990 to establish Calvary Revival Church.
Affectionately known as “Lady J,” Janeen is also responsible for various ministries at CRC and serves on the Advisory Board of Calvary Alliance of Churches and Ministries, the global ministry network founded by her husband, and is a member of a range of boards in Hampton Roads.
Janeen McBath is a business owner and the recipient of several awards in recognition of her success as a prominent business woman in the community. She owns two businesses - Queens' Chamber Boutique and Private Moments Day Spa. She is also the founding president of House of Esther Ministries, Inc., a private, non-profit maternity home for teenage girls and single mothers.
Married for more than 30 years, Janeen lives with her husband Courtney in Hampton Roads, Va. She is the proud mother of a daughter, four sons, a son-in-law and two grandsons.
Reverend Nikki Pearson
Reverend Nikki Pearson is a native Washingtonian, single mother of one son and the grandmother of three. She received Christ as her personal Savior as a young girl, and rededicated her life as an adult. She answered the call of God to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and became a licensed minister in 1996. She has been a member of the ministerial team at First Baptist Church of Glenarden since 2001, and was ordained as a minister in the church in August 2011.
Reverend Nikki is a noted visionary and leader who serves as an instructor in FBCG’s Bible Institute, where she teaches life-changing classes, “Exploring Praise & Worship” and “The Book of John.” She is an upcoming facilitator for FBCG’s Women’s seven-week Focus Study Group, “Daddy Pain,” which focuses on women dealing with absent or inactive fathers. She is also the workshop instructor for “Women Determined to Be Delivered,” which is based on her forthcoming book. She held the position of vice president of the FBCG ministerial staff for a three-year term and more recently she founded the FBCG Women in Ministry Support Group for more than 30 women preachers.
Her volunteer spirit is exemplified throughout as she often serves at the Welcome Console at FBCG’s Worship Center, on-call member of the Prison Ministry where she periodically serves as keynote speaker, and psalmist at the Maryland Correctional Institute for Women. In 2012, she received the FBCG Ministerial Staff Leadership of the Year Award for her volunteer service. She is also known and well respected in the local community for her volunteer work, great passion and love for the homeless, substance abusers and ex-offender community. She facilitates workshops, and teaches and preaches messages of God’s divine hope, help and healing. Reverend Nikki has had the honor of singing for President Bush when he visited FBCG, and when she sang the national anthem at the President Bush’s White House Faith Based Initiative Conference in 2008. Her community awards include that of Woman of Distinction, which she was awarded along with Oprah Winfrey and Apostle Betty Peebles.
Reverend Nikki is an anointed psalmist, graduate of FBCG’s Bible Institute and has received a certificate in Leadership Studies from Regent University.
Reverend CoKiesha Bailey Robinson
Reverend CoKiesha Bailey Robinson can be described as an encourager, author, mentor, life coach and mouthpiece for the Kingdom. She graduated from Fisk University with a B.A. degree and obtained a M.Div. from the Beeson Divinity School in Samford University, where she serves as an advisory board member. She worked in the field of radio before becoming involved in full-time ministry. CoKiesha is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and enjoys traveling, writing, preaching and investing in the lives of others.
She has served as a missionary to a number of countries and studied in Izmir, Turkey. Her greatest passions are encouraging others through creative oral and written expressions. She writes for several devotional sites and has contributed to three books, one of which she co-authored: Farther In and Deeper Down (written by the Bailey family), This is My Story (written by Dr. Cleo Larue) and Planting Trust, Knowing Peace (written by Mrs. Denise George).
Reverend Robinson received her license to preach the gospel of Christ by her father, the late Dr. E.K. Bailey, at Concord Church in Dallas in 2003. She was ordained by Dr. J.M. Green of New York, N.Y., in 2011 at Mt. Neboh Baptist Church, where she served as assistant pastor for nearly three years.
She and her husband, seminary sweetheart, Reverend Timothy Robinson, a son of Alabama, enjoy being students of the Word, recorders of history, observers of the world, lovers of animals and builders of people. They served together on the leadership committee for laity at Princeton Theological Seminary and currently serve in ministry on the pastoral staff of Concord Church, where Reverend Bryan Carter serves as the pastor. Reverend CoKiesha Robinson is the director of growth at Concord and delights in helping people to enjoy God’s presence and to fulfill His purpose for their lives. In her free time she enjoys quality time with her family and playtime with her Lab, Samson. Her life mission is to put feet on her theology and to serve as an arrow that point others to the life-changing power of Christ.
Gaye Arbuckle, an anointed national gospel recording artist from Dallas, Texas, with an enriched style and talent, leaves you spiritually touched as she ministers in music and song. She is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University, where she served as director/musician for the Baptist Student Union. While attending PVAMU, she won the coveted “Miss National BSU” and was third runner-up in the “Miss Prairie View Pageant.” Gaye is currently the minister of music of Concord Church in Dallas, where she leads praise and worship on any given Sunday.
Founder and president of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, the late Reverend James Cleveland in New Orleans, presented her to the gospel world at a very young age. Since that time, she has been a featured soloist on two GMWA albums. As a featured soloist on the Mississippi Mass Choir album with the late Reverend James Moore, she sang “Have Faith in God ” and on Meeks Record/Pastor Clay Evans’ project singing “ Oh How Much He Cares.”
Gaye sang and has appeared in opening performances for Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, Vickie Winans, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Fred Hammond, Dorinda Clarke-Cole, Karen Clarke-Sheard, Kelly Price and Stephen Hurd, to name just a few.
A musician and songwriter, Gaye is also a thespian with such productions to her credit, “Porgy and Bess,” “The Night I Fell in Love,” “Preachers Kids” and “The Spirit of Forgiveness.” She released her third album recorded "Live" in Dallas. She produced, wrote and re-arranged for this project on the B&G label entitled, "Miracles and Blessing." With her self-entitled release, "Gaye," her fourth recording, this artist brings a flare of style to the music industry but still walks in divine order.
Kena Hodges has been a licensed Zumba instructor since 2010. As a former professional basketball player and model, she recognizes the importance of achieving and maintaining fitness goals. Kena stumbled across a Zumba class when looking for unconventional ways to burn calories and tone without having to step foot on a treadmill or lift a weight. She fell in love! Today, Kena's goal is to spread the philosophy of health and happiness and of loving everything you do, especially your workout! Kena hosts Zumba charity events, corporate & private parties. She is a certified group fitness instructor teaching various formats, but Zumba is her favorite! Kena currently teaches Zumba at Lifetime Athletic in Columbia and Rockville, The Fab Body Factory in Upper Marlboro, Pennsylvania Ave. AME Zion Church in Baltimore and at Celebration Church in Columbia.
