The Urban Incubator

Every Saturday in May
Team Size
: 25 volunteers per 2 hour time slot

Time: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Urban Farm Incubator at Watkins Regional Park is a collaboration among ECO City Farms, the Prince George’s Soil Conservation District (PGSCD), Prince George’s Food Equity Council (FEC), The Capital Market of 20743 at Mary and Main, and the M-NCPPC Parks and Recreation Department. The Urban Farm Incubator accommodates multiple farmers and provides increased support through common infrastructure, equipment, mentoring, and technical assistance to help launch their businesses successfully. 

Compassionate Care Crochet Group

Time: Noon – 2 p.m.

The Compassionate Care Group crochets Afghans, lapghans, prayer shawls, chemo caps, small change bags, baby blankets and baby items throughout the year. The items are added to an assembled basket that includes items such as a devotional, journal, hot drink mug, and tissue that are given to sick and shut-in members, and/or seniors in the community. This group is open to experienced crocheters as well as beginners who have a heart’s desire to learn how to crochet. 

Bible & Books 4 Kids

Worship Center
Dates: May 5 – June 30, 2024
Time: 9 – 5:30 p.m.

Donate new, age-appropriate Bibles and educational books for children and youth ages 2 to 11. Bibles and books may be dropped off and placed in the bins in Gospel Kids Town at the Worship Center.

Mother's Day & Father's Day Collaboration Outreach
