Baptism

Baptism is an outward expression of the inward change that happens when you give your life to Jesus. It’s a public declaration that you’re all in—washed, renewed, and walking with Christ. If you’re ready to take that next step, we’re here to walk with you.

Here’s how to get started:

  1. Watch the video titled “What is Baptism? to better understand the meaning and importance of baptism.

  2. Watch the video titled FBCG Baptism Instructions to learn what’s needed and how it works.

  3. Register using the link in your New Member Welcome Email when you’re ready to schedule your baptism. If you have any questions email baptism@fbcglenarden.org

weddings

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage! Our wedding coordinator will assist you all the way up until that special moment when you say "I do." Before getting married at FBCG, there are two classes – “So You Think You Want to Get Married” and “Becoming One” – that must be taken through The Institutes. If you are a member of First Baptist and interested in having your wedding with us, please contact our wedding coordinator by emailing weddings@fbcglenarden.org.

When planning a funeral or memorial service to honor, remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones, we walk alongside you in your season of grief. FBCG Funeral Services team assists families during these difficult times by providing support, comfort and help in designing a meaningful funeral or memorial service.

baby blessings

Baby blessing is the act of giving back to God the gift He has given to parents. It is an act of worship, thanksgiving, dependence, trust and commitment. The practice of baby blessing has been modeled throughout the Bible. For example, Hannah brought her long-awaited son Samuel to the priest Eli to dedicate him to the Lord (1 Samuel 1:24-28). Mary and Joseph brought baby Jesus to the temple for His dedication (Luke 2:22-24).

We recognize that salvation only comes to a child through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Therefore, it is not passed on to a child through baby blessing. Parents commit to raise their children by modeling godly principles with the desire that one day they will receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

Registration is required for baby blessings. You may schedule your child for upcoming baby blessings online or contact us at babyblessings@fbcglenarden.org. Baby blessings can be scheduled up to four months in advance if space is available.
