A: We have four Sunday services, which occur at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., noon and 6:30 p.m. Praise and worship begins 15 minutes prior to the start of the 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. services only.

A: Your children are welcome to attend service with you or go to Sunday School in G.O.S.P.E.L. Kids' Town, where they will be taught the Word of God in an age-appropriate way. GKT welcomes kids from 3 months to 5th grade.
Q: What is the typical Sunday attire?
A: At FBCG, you will see a variety of styles - from suits and dresses to slacks and jeans. The most important thing is to come dressed in a way that you feel comfortable to worship God. Our dress code is "casual, but godly."
Q: Who leads the church?
A: Under the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit, Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr. leads the First Baptist Church of Glenarden. God called Pastor Jenkins to this position in 1989, and he leads with guidance from the Council of Elders.
Q: How do I join First Baptist Church of Glenarden?
A: Joining a church is a big decision, and we are honored that you have decided to join connect with First Baptist. You have several options. Toward the end of each of our worship services, an altar call is extended for people to join FBCG, repent and/or accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. This is one of the best times to get connected to our church. Or you can come to the Ministry or Worship Center during hours of operation and speak to a certified altar counselor. Q: How long does worship service normally last?
A: There are more than 100 ministries available for our members to serve at FBCG. If you are not sure which ministry to join, you might consider attending our Connections
(New Members) classes to learn more about the different ministries to see which one best fits you. Also, you can obtain our Ministry Listing brochure from the receptionist console to see when the various ministry meetings are held.
A: Our regular worship services are approximately one hour, but that timeframe is subject to change under the direction of the Holy Spirit
Q: Do you hold a mid-week service?
A: For a mid-week dose of the Word, join us at the Worship Center on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. for Bible study/prayer & praise service. If you can’t join us in person, tune in online at www.fbcglenarden.org or www.fbcglive.com from your smartphone or tablet device.
Q: What is the difference between the three campuses?
We also have noonday Bible study/prayer & praise service on Wednesdays at the Ministry Center.
