Trina
Jenkins is the devoted wife
of the Senior Pastor of First
Baptist Church of Glenarden, Pastor John
K. Jenkins Sr. They have been united
as one for more than 25 years. She
enjoys being a homemaker and mother to
their six children and one
granddaughter.
Trina received
Christ as her personal Savior in 1976 at
the Good Hope United Methodist Church in
Silver Spring, Maryland, during a
service in which her future husband
(Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr.) was the
youth preacher.
Trina is very
interested in the natural development
and spiritual growth of families and
women. At FBCG, she oversees more than
20 ministries relating to families, men
and women as Director of the Family Life
Ministries Department. She also preaches
and teaches at churches, retreats and
conferences around the United States and
Africa. The Lord is using this
well-respected, godly woman to train
Christian women to reach their utmost
potential in Christ Jesus.
After
successfully completing the requirements
of the Instructor Training Program
offered by the Natural Family Planning
Providers Association of Maryland and
the District of Columbia, Trina has
worked for Providence Hospital in
Washington, D.C., as a certified Natural
Family Planning Instructor.
Trina Jenkins
earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Sociology from the University of
Maryland in 1982, and in 2004 received
an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from
Truth Bible College in Jacksonville,
Florida.
